For the almost 3 months, I have been contemplating if I should redeem and experience Suites by Singapore Airlines (one-way), or use the pooled miles to redeem roundtrip business class. So its either experience vs. potential savings. Roundtrip business between MNL-FRA is approximately 4K EUR 💸 So yeah its not a joke.
But after some calculation (😂 kala mo may ganon talagang nangyari), turns out that I would prefer to experience the Suite. The flight would anyway take around 13 hours, so almost half of my day will be spent on the plane.
And then I successfully redeemed it last May-2025. Flight will commence on April-2026
Disclaimer: Conversations below are obviously not the exact words. But the pattern is similar, at least that’s what I remembered
How much does it really cost?
For reference, here’s an example:

⚠️ I’m showing a roundtrip price because if its one-way, it will be more expensive (7.5K EUR)
So 6.8K EUR (462K PHP as of the-day-I’m-writing-this exchange rate 67.95) for a mixed cabin booking, Suites and then Business on return.
So how about redemption? Here:

⚠️ Prior November 2025 devaluation, it was only 225K
⚠️ You cannot unfortunately manually redeem FRA-MNL (or v.v.) on your own. It needs to be done by the customer service
Yes, it needs to be SQ326/A388. Because B777 does not have a real suite, as seen in the photo above, despite having the same redemption value as the A388.
Redemption Preparation
I have been researching on how to redeem such high-value flight. And from various sources, I need to be as flexible as I could be, since it is only a very limited redemption. I mean, it makes sense, it costs A LOT. And if you are waitlisted, odds are you will never get the slot – at least that’s what other’s experience is.
According also to internet sources
- Slots becomes available upto 360 days in advance
- Slot opens around 0800 SST (GMT +8)
Also, since you cannot redeem it on your own, you need to contact customer support to redeem the flight for you, under single Passenger Name Record (PNR), or under single booking.
So, lets go!
Redemption Process (attempt 1)
The following day, I immediately checked the dates I would like if it is available. Otherwise I would need to check nearby dates.
And then… there’s an available on XX-April-2026!! (360 days out)
Immediately contacted customer support for redemption.
Ok, “walked out” disappointed. Tried researching why. It seems that some agents just do not know how to “properly” do redemption, according to my research.
So I have to talk to another customer support who would eventually understand what should happen..
Redemption Process (attempt 2)
After maybe an hour, attempted to redeem again. Luckily, my desired flight is still available.
No, that’s not a copy paste error. That’s what really happened, although of course completely different wording!
Disappointed, tried researching further… Then I found an article about this exact issue. Luckily, someone posted an article which highlights that I should be able to redeem it for 225K Kris Flyer only. Because according to this PDF from Singapore Airlines bullet 5:

So I went ahead again after an hour or so, and tried redeeming it once more. This time, with this article at hand that I can use to justify redeeming it only for 225K.
Redemption Process (attempt 3)
Prepared and decided, I started a new chat with the customer support
Successful Redemption!
I immediately processed the payment. And shortly, I got the confirmation that the seat is already booked. Of course I selected seat 1F because why not!

Unfortunately seat number is not shown there. But who cares!!!! 🥳
The flight is still almost a year from the time of booking. But I’m still very excited to have this luxurious experience!!!
After that, I immediately booked my Qatar flight. Unfortunately, there was no available QSuite ±7 days on my desired date*. Felt a little disappointed, but I guess its ok.
*Nov’2025 update: Aircraft changed. Instead of the 2-2-2 seat configuration, it will now have the QSuite instead! Superb!!!
